Chiefs take a short trip to Vaal

Expect the mother of all the battles when these two lock horns.

SEDIBENG.- The Kaizer Chiefs reserve team will travel to Vaal today where they have an important date with Sekhukhune United.

The two meet in the crucial DSTV Diski Challenge match at Isak Steyl Stadium in Vanderbijlpark.

The game kick-off is at 12:00.

It is going to be an exciting affair with the Chiefs needing a win to go back to the top of the log. Amakhosi babies are in fourth position on the log with 36 points but with a game in hand. Sundowns and Stellenbosch are at the top of the summit with 38 points, the two are separated by a goal difference. SuperSport United are third on the log with 37 points. However, the weekend results might change the log standing. The local soccer fans are expected to pack the venue to capacity to watch this much-anticipated encounter.

Expect the mother of all the battles when these two lock horns as Chiefs will be looking for nothing but a win while on the other hand, United will be looking to continue with their impressive form.

The local soccer fans will be looking forward to seeing one of their own, Naledi Hlongwane in action. This Sebokeng youngster has just been promoted to the Kaizer Chiefs senior team. Hlongwane made headlines in December when he scored a brace for the Carling Black Label All-Star team against Magesi in the exhibition match.

He produced a Man of The Match performance which saw him receive a R100 000 cheque.
