SEBOKENG.- Love was in the air when Orlando Pirates Grater Sebokeng Branch celebrated Valentine’s Day in style in Zone 12 on Sunday.

This celebration formed part of the branch’s first general meeting for the new year.

Speaking to Sedibeng Ster Sport, Dikidiki Zondo said it was a day well spent with the supporters exchanging flowers and gifts. He told Sedibeng Ster Sport that love is such a beautiful thing that brings people closer.

“Look, as much as Valentine’s Day was on Friday we saw it necessary to celebrate it on Sunday during our general meeting. This was the first meeting of the year and it was a great success. We also had a great day celebrating Valentine’s Day with our committee members. I want to thank everyone who made this day possible with their contributions. We started the year on a positive note and will continue to recruit more supporters for the club,” said Zondo.

According to Zondo, the club is overjoyed for doing well in the Betway Premier Soccer League and is challenging the league title.

“Our 4-1 defeat to Mamelodi Sundowns nearly affected our chances but they also lost against TS Galaxy. This gave us a chance to narrow the gap at the top of the log,” Zondo concluded.
