Suspects arrested for operating a second-hand business without license
The police received a call from one of their informers informing them that there was certain house where dagga is being sold, and a second-hand goods business is being operated.
SEDIBENG.- Two suspects were recently arrested and charged with dealing in dagga and operating a second-hand business without license in Mamello Informal Settlement, Vaal Marina.
It is said that while the Vaal Marina police were busy with their daily duties, last Thursday, April 3, in Mamello informal settlement they received a call from one of their informers informing them that there was certain house where dagga is being sold, and a second-hand goods business is being operated.

Police proceeded to the alleged and found a black plastic with a lot of dagga and a big bag full of copper tubes cut into pieces, a silver saw, and a silver weighing scale, said police spokesperson, Constable Tshilidzi de Huis.


De Huis added that two suspects were arrested for dealing in dagga and operating an unregistered business of second-hand goods.
“Vaal marina SAPS Station Commander Captain JB Greyling expressed words of gratitude. The Station Commander further stated that the members involved in the arrests deserve a standing ovation. Their dedication and hard work have produced fruitful results.”
The suspects were expected to appear at the Meyerton Magistrate Court soon.
