Man’s body found burned at Zone 7 soccer ground

The deceased was last seen at a tavern at Pitikoe/Terene in Smallfarms.

SEBOKENG.- A case of murder is being investigated after a body of a man was found burned in Zone 7, Sebokeng on Friday.

It is alleged that the deceased was last seen at a tavern at Pitikoe/Terene in Smallfarms.

He was later found in an open field next to Zone 7 Sebokeng soccer ground. Although his body was burned, he was able to be identified by his mother. On Sunday, April 20, the suspects responsible for the brutal murder were arrested and will soon appear before the court of law.

It is currently unknown why the deceased was murdered.

Brigadier Thembekile Kubone stated that such acts will not be tolerated in any way, she added, “In South African law, murder is defined as the unlawful and intentional killing of another human being. This means it involves a deliberate act with the intention to cause death, resulting in the victim’s death. Murder is a serious crime in South Africa, punishable by a minimum sentence of 15 years imprisonment and potentially life imprisonment. So if one murders another person they must consider the consequences they will face.”
