Beauty and purpose at Face of Metsimaholo Beauty Pageant

Beauty and simplicity were the order of the day.

SASOLBURG.-  Beauty reigned supreme at the annual Face of Metsimaholo Beauty Pageant.

This annual event took place at The Lokation restaurant in Zamdela recently.

The event was graced by the best in the entertainment and beauty industry, and it was entertainment galore with young girls showcasing their God-given talent in the form of beauty. It was an unforgettable day for those who were crowned the Face of Metsimaholo Beauty Pageant.

Speaking to Sedibeng Ster, Grace Mofokeng, who has been instrumental in this initiative said it was a day to remember. She told Sedibeng Ster that even though they had to crown the winners, this beauty pageant is not about winning but giving young people a platform to showcase their talent.

Mofokeng further said that there is no doubt that some of these young girls will go a long way to become Miss South Africa and Miss Universe if what she experienced on the day is anything to go by. She said beauty and simplicity were the order of the day. But having said that, Mofokeng said the Face of Metsimaholo Beauty Pageant is more than just a celebration of beauty. She said it is a powerful movement dedicated to uplifting young women with different body types and skin types.

“This movement was founded with a strong vision of empowerment; the pageant focuses on creating a platform for girls and women aged seven to 28 years to grow in confidence and leadership.  The heart of the pageant is a commitment to charity work and social impact. Contestants are encouraged not only to shine on stage but to become ambassadors of change within their communities. Through outreach programmes, fundraising initiatives, and hands-on community services, the pageant promotes a spirit of giving back and making a meaningful difference,” she told Sedibeng Ster.

The event brought together contestants, past titleholders, and community members for an afternoon of inspiration, connection, and shared purpose. The audience had an opportunity to hear the heartfelt stories of the young women involved in modeling and learn more about the pageant industry.

Mofokeng said the movement’s mission is to build more than just queens but community leaders, changemakers, and future role models. Mofokeng said the Face of Metsimaholo will continue to grow and remain firmly rooted in its values, empowerment, community, and compassion.
