As journalists, we remain unshakeable and fearless!

As journalists, our job is not to please everyone.

SEDIBENG.- The thing about journalism – the sad thing – is that you become an enemy for telling the truth without favour or fear.

This is what we stand for!

As journalists, our job is not to please everyone.

We must tell the truth without sugar-coating it, because we are the ears and eyes of the community that we represent. We don’t represent certain individuals or organisations, and we are not affiliated with any organisation. We are independent in our quest to seek the truth and publish it as is.

Before you are wondering what the HELL is Zakes’ Sports Corner up to… Ten years ago on this exact day, there was a so-called “Mr Cool” who rubbished yours truly, Zakes’ Sports Corner, on all social media platforms.

This was before the SAFA National election, with the two most powerful men in South African football up against each other for the presidency position. I exposed the wrong and rot that was taking place in Vaal football, because this region was divided into two groups in support of those powerful football administrators.

The development of football in this region was harshly affected.

As they say, when two elephants fight, the one that suffers most is the grass. The same can be said about the development of our football in this region. Zakes’ Sports Corner was paraded “naked” on all social media platforms by the so-called “Mr Cool”, obviously not his real name, but known to me!

He was the Chairperson of the local football association at the time.

The moral of the story here is that love or hate us, as journalists, our job is to tell the truth as it is – we are unshakeable and fearless.

Zakes’ Sports Corner will remain the ears and eyes of the masses out there

Here it goes from Zakes’ Sports Corner to “Mr Cool”…Bring it on, I shall remain steadfast!
