The first half started poorly for Die Anker, and they were 10-0 down at halftime. Their perseverance and fighting spirit emerged in the second half. With fierce determination, they found their way to the try line and scored their first try.

The rest of the match hung in the balance until Die Anker scored another try in the dying moments of the game.

In the last minute, Die Anker was awarded a penalty kick and chose to go for the posts. The kick wasn’t successful, but Hoërskool Voortrekker was penalised for charging too early.

The second attempt was successful, and there was no end to the joy. The final score was 13-10 in Die Anker’s favour.
