Performance workshop aims to boost service delivery in ELM

“The workshops that started earlier this week will rollover to August month."

VANDERBIJLPARK.- An important workshop to build a stronger future through Performance Management was held for Level 1 – 6 Emfuleni Local Municipality (ELM) employees last week.

The two-hour workshop took place in the Mayoral Parlour at the Vanderbijlpark Head Office.

The municipality said that this compulsory training, in compliance with Section 32(1) of the Local Government Municipal Systems Act (LGMSA) 2000, ensures the effective implementation of the Performance Management and Development System (PMDS) for the 2025/2026 financial year.

Key departments, including the offices of the speaker, chief whip, executive mayor, Intergrated Development Planning, Communication, Performance Management, Risk Management, IGR, Monitoring & Evaluation, and Internal Audit, all participated in the initiative.

“The workshops that started earlier this week will rollover to August month, targeting all other departments within the municipality. PMDS empowers employees to reach their full potential, driving service delivery and contributing to a thriving municipality. By equipping the ELM workforce with the tools and knowledge necessary for success, the municipality is building a more efficient, accountable, and effective municipality for all,” the municipality said.
