Sedibeng South Region hosts Mass Meeting

“We will continue to support the club regardless of the results."

SEBOKENG.- Sedibeng South Region hosted the Orlando Pirates Supporters Mass Meeting at Dora’s Place on Sunday.

The mass meeting followed the club’s victory over Mamelodi Sundowns in the MTN8 second leg semi-final at Lucas Moripe Stadium in Pretoria. This mass meeting was attended by Pirates card carrying members. Topping the agenda included the club’s matches and the new developments at the club.

Speaking to Sedibeng Ster Sport, Mzwakhe Zondo, who is responsible for the Sebokeng Greater Supporters publicity hailed this meeting a great success. He was full of compliments for those supporters who were in attendance.

He said this is a positive response to the start of the season. Zondo said some of the things that they discussed at the meeting included the attendance to the Pirates matches. He encouraged the supporters to come in numbers to Pirates games, home or away games. He said they want to fill the stadium to capacity especially when they play at Orlando Stadium.

“I must say, this was a fruitful meeting and well attended. Playing in the final is more than enough motivation for us supporters. We want to thank the club’s management, especially the chairperson, for always signing the best players for the club. I have no doubt that this season we are going to challenge for the league title,” Zondo said.

He acknowledged that Pirates didn’t start the season well, but were convinced that reaching the final will boost the players’ confidence going forward.

“We will continue to support the club regardless of the results. We were very unfortunate to lose those two opening league matches,” he told Sedibeng Ster Sport.
