VANDERBIJLPARK – A public engagement session led by Brigadier Sibongile Ndaba was recently held at Joko Tea in Bophelong as part of Operation Shanela.

The initiative, aimed at improving relationships between police and communities, introduced the Sedibeng station commanders to the community.

Representatives from Home Affairs, the Department of Community Safety, and the CPF also joined the session.

Acting Station Commander Colonel Mashele provided a brief overview of crime trends in the area and highlighted some of the policing challenges being faced.
