SEBOKENG. – The HEIST of Combo U12 Diski Challenge will come to a close this weekend with the much-anticipated finals set to take place at Saul Tsotetsi Sports Centre.
This exciting youth football tournament kicked off last weekend at the same venue, delivering thrilling matches and standout performances.

Speaking to Sedibeng Ster Sport, tournament coordinator Thabo Mathinye said the final will take place on Saturday and promises to be a spectacle.

“I do not doubt this year’s final is going to be fireworks if the first game was anything to go by. The opening games of the tournament gave me an idea of which teams are likely to be in the final or crowned the Diski Challenge champions. This year, teams set the bar very high. I was overwhelmed by the kind of football these youngsters displayed and was stunned by the kind of goals they scored,” said Mathinye.

While Mathinye refrained from naming specific teams expected to reach the final, he hinted that several sides have the potential to cause upsets. Vaal Gardens Sports Academy, in particular, has emerged as one of the tournament favourites.
