Young Mbele comes out tops
“Mbali’s success is a result of her own hard work and dedication. I am extremely proud of the young woman she is becoming. I guide her, but she is self-motivated.”
SEDIBENG.- The family of Mbali Mbele(12), also known as Mbalenhle Mbele, extended heartfelt thanks to Sedibeng Ster for its support and coverage of the young model’s journey in the fashion world.
This follows the newspaper’s coverage of the talented model earlier this year, detailing how the young beauty will proudly represent Gauteng in the prestigious Miss Golden Heart South Africa 2025 pageant.
Speaking to Sedibeng Ster last week, Mbele’s mother, Motlagomang Mbele, expressed heartfelt gratitude for featuring Mbali in the paper ahead of the finals held in East London on October 3 and 4.

“I’m proud to share that Mbali was crowned 1st Runner-Up, Charity Queen, rewarded for Best Interview, and received the Director’s Choice Award in her category. Your contribution helped boost her visibility and played a meaningful part in her outstanding performance. Thank you for shining a light on young talent from the Vaal. Your contribution helped make this experience truly special,” the mother said.
Having entered the modelling industry at just nine years old, Mbele has already made a name for herself on the South African pageant and fashion scene.

Speaking about her daughter earlier this year, Motlagomang said, “Mbali’s success is a result of her own hard work and dedication. I am extremely proud of the young woman she is becoming. I guide her, but she is self-motivated.”
The young model’s journey reflects a blend of confidence, discipline, and artistic flair.
Mbali’s key achievements include:
- Winner – Miss Diamond of the Vaal Petite 2023
- 2nd Runner-Up – Miss Tween Sedibeng
- Finalist – Ms Golden Heart South Africa
- Winner – Vaal Fashion Designer of the Year (Untrained Designers Category)
The young girl aims to continue growing her modelling portfolio while further developing her skills in fashion design. She dreams of walking international runways and one day launching her own fashion label that inspires young girls across South Africa and beyond.
