SOS for SPCA: Please step up and help

The SPCA is drowning under costs. Your support could save an animal today.

This week, Sedibeng Ster is reaching out to our readers to show your support for the Vereeniging & Vanderbijlpark SPCA.
They are facing a devastating triple threat that is severely compromising their ability to save and care for abused and neglected animals. Vaalweekblad is urging all readers to step up and offer support as the SPCA grapples with nearly empty funds, a crippled fleet, and soaring operational costs.
Empty veterinary account: The fund for urgent medical care is nearly depleted. Without an influx of donations, the SPCA cannot provide the life-saving treatment
desperately needed by injured, abused, and neglected animals. Medical care stops without your help.
Crippled fleet:
The terrible state of local roads has taken a huge toll, leaving the SPCA with only ONE working vehicle. Two others are broken down, and the repeated need to replace tyres has drained their budget. Their ability to respond to emergencies is critically reduced.
Fuel Crisis:
The cost of fuel, their “lifeline,” is crushing them. Without fuel, they cannot investigate cruelty complaints, rescue animals, collect strays, or transport them to the vet. Every rescue is at risk. The Vereeniging & Vanderbijlpark SPCA collects a heartbreaking number of unwanted animals daily. They need your support now more than ever to continue their vital work.
How can you help the SPCA keep its lights on and its wheels turning? This is how you can help: If you’re able to assist with vehicle repairs or fuel costs, please consider donating.
