VEREENIGING.- Sedibeng Volleyball Union hosted a successful regional boys and girls Volleyball event at Phoenix High School on Saturday.

These selected regional volleyball teams will compete at the OR Tambo Sonchini Games.

This was revealed to Sedibeng Ster Sport by Joseph Manzi of the Sedibeng Volleyball Union as he hailed the selection as a great success, with all the municipalities bringing their teams for the important selections. He told Sedibeng Ster Sport that they selected great talent that will represent Sedibeng at provincial level.

Manzi said he was overwhelmed by the talent that attended this selection. He told Sedibeng Ster Sport that he is confident the teams will make this region proud. He said volleyball is one of the sporting codes that has been doing well.

“We want to thank all the municipalities for bringing their teams for selections, and also the support of the parents. It was great to see parents in
numbers supporting their children. As the Sedibeng Volleyball Union, we are pleased with the selected teams, and I do not doubt that they will represent us with distinction. We will give these teams and the coaches the support they need. We have a great talent in this region, and on Saturday, it was evident that volleyball is one of the most popular sports in the community,” he concluded.
