Ezenkosi hosts Wits in a midweek fixture in Vaal
For the past two seasons, the attempt to return to top-flight football seems to be mission impossible.
SEDIBENG.- Jomo Cosmos, otherwise known as Ezenkosi, will host Wits FC at the Isak Steyl Stadium in Vanderbijlpark tomorrow, November 25.
Kick-off time is at 15:00.
Cosmos comes into this encounter after they played to a 1-all draw against JBM FC at the same venue on Saturday. Ezenkosi redeemed themselves after they suffered a back-to-back defeat recently. On the other hand, Wits FC comes into this much-talked-about fixture after they played to a 1-1 draw against Mike 1 Stars FC on Saturday.

Cosmos finds themselves languishing in 6th position on the log after accumulating nine points from ten games, while Wist FC languishes in 13th position on the log. There is a lot to play for both teams come tomorrow, considering their position on the log. Cosmos’ attempt to return to top-flight football seems to be mission impossible, looking at their current situation on the log.
However, it is too early to write them off as the league has just started.
Cosmos boss, Jomo Sono, who is well known for his ability to spot the best talent in the world, is confident that his side will turn the tables come the second round of the league campaign. The man always looks calm on the bench, regardless of the situation, and hardly shouts at his players except to give them instructions.
For starters, when Cosmos were promoted back to PSL after being relegated, they played their First National League matches here at the same venue. However, after being promoted back to PSL, they relocated to North West Province but were relegated back to the national first division and the following year to the ABC Motsepe League.
For the past two seasons, the attempt to return to top-flight football seems to be mission impossible.
Cosmos’ current squad is relatively young, with players aged between 20 and 25, but they hold themselves against the best in the league.
