MEYERTON.- Young Pirates FC and TUT shared the spoils after playing to a 1-1 draw in the Gauteng ABC Motsepe League match at Sicelo Stadium in Midvaal on Sunday.
Sedibeng Ster Sport has learned that this game has since generated some controversy, with the home team lodging a protest with the league.
Sedibeng Ster Sport will follow up with the relevant authorities to establish the reason behind the protest. Despite the results, Young Pirates FC remain third on the log with 20 points from 10 games. It was a fixture for Young Pirates to win, especially at home.

As things stand, RRR Rams extended their lead at the top after beating Tembisa Hollywood Thunder 3-2 in another ABC Motsepe League match over the weekend.
This victory means RRR Rams move to 23 points at the top, with the University of Johannesburg trailing them by two points.

The two teams had previously been tied with 20 points at the top, but have since changed after the weekend games. However, log positions may have changed by the time you read this, as additional matches were scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday.
Looking ahead, Young Pirates FC will travel to face Tembisa Hollywood Thunder FC on Saturday.
The Vaal-based outfit has proven to be good travellers, collecting the points wherever they play, and Saturday’s game may be no different. It is going to be a tough game; it is two teams with different agendas, as Tembisa Hollywood Thunder FC wants to close the gap at the top, while Young Pirates FC will be focused on consolidating their position in the top three bracket.
