Back to school and anti-bullying campaign at General Smuts

"Brigadier Ndaba and her team will continue to work tirelessly until they have reached their goal.”

VEREENIGING.- As the schools reopened this year, the Station Commander of Vereeniging SAPS, Brigadier Sibongile Ndaba welcomed learners of General Smuts High School and reminded them about the purpose of attending school.

In her address, she stated that Social Crime Prevention, CPF, and Youth Crime Prevention Desk will continue to monitor the school as General Smuts learners are always sensitised about fighting, gangsterism, bullying, and peer pressure.

Police spokesperson, Sergeant Nthabiseng Mokhachane said that the awareness was successful.

“Brigadier Sibongile Ndaba emphasised that it really had a positive impact on the learners as well as the teachers.  Important initiatives include early childhood development, enhancing teacher quality, and promoting inclusive education. Which is why Brigadier Ndaba and her team will continue to work tirelessly until they have reached their goal,” Mokhachane said.

She added that the Vereeniging SAPS’ doors are open to the public and should anyone need police help, they can contact Vereeniging SAPS on 082 558 2348, 10111, 08600 10111, 112 alternatively via MySAPS.
