VANDERBIJLPARK.- It was action galore at various venues in Sedibeng, with SAFA Sedibeng Hollywoodbets Men Regional League teams battling for maximum points over the weekend.

Sedibeng Ster Sport’s cameras were at Isak Steyl Stadium, where VUT FC hosted Celta Vigo FC in another exciting fixture on Saturday.

This fixture played as a curtain-raiser for the ABC Motsepe League match between Jomo Cosmos and TUT.

VUT FC came into this game with everyone convinced it would be a walk in the park against the young Celta Vigo FC. However, it was not to be, as the home team had to sweat before they beat Celta Vigo FC 2-1. The local soccer fans enjoyed every moment of action as Celta Vigo FC toyed with the home team.

Despite the defeat, Celta Vigo outclassed the home team with ball possession. They made the home team chase their own shadows for the better part of the game.

The home team looked out of ideas as Celta Vigo FC enjoyed ball possession.

Their passing game was accurate, but they failed to convert their chances into goals.

However, in the second half, VUT FC made a few substitutions, bringing in some experienced campaigners, desperate to get a goal. Their substitutions immediately made an impact from the bench and found the back of the net. However, their lead was short-lived with Celta Vigo FC finding the back of the net to level the match, 1-1.

In fact, Celta Vigo FC profited from VUT FC’s goalkeeper and defender’s error, which resulted in a goal.

At this stage, the game looked as if it would end in 1-all draw, but the home team scored the second goal, 2-1.

Celta Figo FC continued dominating ball possession. They were exciting to watch, especially when they were in possession. Emmanuel Kholisile Telane was outstanding in the middle of the park for Celta Vigo FC. He made things happen for his team.
