Midvaal municipality scoops multiple PMR.africa Awards
Midvaal Local Municipality received multiple PMR.africa Awards, earning Gold and Diamond status for excellence in job creation, investment attraction, service delivery, and good governance.
The PMR.africa Awards aim to recognise and celebrate business and institutional excellence.
The awards are based on an annual survey conducted through interviews with hundreds of key professionals, acknowledging organisations that demonstrate outstanding service delivery, innovation, and commitment to excellence.
Midvaal Local Municipality received three awards in the Local Government Initiatives category.
The municipality achieved Gold status for municipalities doing the most for job creation and tourism attraction, as well as for those excelling in environmental cleanliness, infrastructure development, and crime prevention.
MLM further set itself apart by securing first place in the Social Upliftment and Investment Attraction category, earning Diamond status for attracting both foreign and local investment.
Midvaal Executive Mayor Peter Teixeira received the Diamond Award for Outstanding Pro-active Mayors, recognising his leadership and commitment to good governance.
The municipality welcomed the recognition, stating that the awards reflect its continued dedication to service excellence.
“We consistently strive to deliver excellent services, remain innovative, enhance infrastructure, and uplift our region. We remain committed to setting and sustaining the highest standards of good governance,” the municipality said.
