SEDIBENG.- The Emfuleni Local Municipality (ELM) has said that it is aware of a power failure currently affecting consumers at Vanderbijlpark and surrounding areas.

The municipality said that this is due to transmission line challenges at the Eskom Rigi Substation that have affected Munic, NW and Town Substations.

“Technical teams have been dispatched to site to conduct further investigations and work on restoration efforts. No ETR can be communicated at this moment. Updates will be shared as and when there are further developments. We apologise for the inconvenience.”
