SEDIBENG.- While the nation’s eyes will be fixed on the massive Soweto Derby between Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates on Saturday, local football fans in the Vaal have an exciting ‘appetizer’ to look forward to.
Sekhukhune United’s youngsters are set to host the Kaizer Chiefs babies in a highly anticipated DStv Diski Challenge (DDC) clash at the Isak Steyl Stadium in Vanderbijlpark.
Kick-off time is scheduled for 12:00.
The match is perfectly timed for local supporters since the Soweto Derby between South African giants Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates kicks off at FNB Stadium at 15:00.
Local soccer fans watching the big game from home have plenty of time to catch the DDC action and come out in numbers.
This fixture comes at a time when Sekhukhune United are in top form.
They have been collecting maximum points recently.
Sekhukhune United recently shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw against Durban City, while young Amakhosi are coming from a 2-2 draw against Richards Bay.
Chiefs, who are the defending champions, occupied 5th spot on the log with 28 points from 19 games, while Sekhukhune United occupied 11th spot with 22 points from 20 games.
