Dance and Theatre Festival for Human Rights

Different theatre, poets, and dance groups from across the province showed their skills on stage.

VEREENIGING.- In a build-up to the Human Rights Day Celebrations over the weekend, the Gauteng Provincial Government held a two-day Dance and Theatre Festival event at the Vereeniging Civic Theatre on March 14 and 15.

The Gauteng Provincial Government (GPG) announced the start of Human Rights Month earlier this month, held under the poignant theme: “Bill of Rights at 30: Making Human Dignity Real.”

On March 14, different theatre, poets, and dance groups from across the province showed their skills on stage, much to the delight of those in attendance. Talent was in abundance.

This Saturday, March 21, the provincial leadership, including representatives from the Sedibeng and Emfuleni Municipalities, will join the families of victims and survivors of the massacre in Sharpeville.
