DA hands over a wheelchair to Boitumelo pensioner

" She has been a pillar of strength for our community"

SEBOKENG. –The Democratic Alliance (DA) Ward 27 allocated councillor, Solly Nkhi, together with branch chairperson, Lazarus Moalafi, proudly handed over a wheelchair and crutches to Gogo Makgomo Meisie Mofokeng of Ward 27 in Boitumelo yesterday.

A meaningful gesture..

Nkhi said that this meaningful gesture is more than just a donation as it is a commitment to dignity, inclusion, and care.

“By providing these mobility aids, we are ensuring that Gogo Mofokeng remains an active and valued member of her community, able to move freely and carry out her daily errands without having to depend on others.”

Nkhi added that for many years, Gogo Mofokeng has been a pillar of strength and care within her community, giving selflessly to those around her.

“Today, it is our turn to give back. The Democratic Alliance believes strongly in supporting the most vulnerable among us. This initiative reflects our core values of compassion, respect, and service — ensuring that our elderly residents live safely, happily, and with full control over their daily lives despite physical limitations.
