A Journey of Purpose, Gratitude, and Community Upliftment
"I am dedicated to showing that,, 'Health is a Lifestyle, not a Look’."
SHARPEVILLE. – Mammedi Ramasia, who was recently honoured to be a National Finalist for Face of Plus-Size South Africa 2026, representing Gauteng and the pride of the Vaal community extended her deepest gratitude to the community and local media for their unwavering support.
Ramasia told Sedibeng Ster that the platform provided an incredible opportunity to champion the causes close to her heart.

“While I was incredibly honoured to walk away with the prestigious Social Impact Award—a testament to our ongoing grassroots community advocacy—I want to address my final standing in the competition with complete transparency. Although my performance and community portfolio were exceptionally strong, I did not place in the Top 5 strictly due to the public voting numbers. In pageantry, voting structures carry immense weight, and despite missing out on the Top 5 tier due to zero voting statistics, the recognition of our real-world change through the Social Impact Award is the truest victory.”

Ramasia said that the crown is not just an ornament; it is a call to action.
I am dedicated to showing that, ‘Health is a Lifestyle, not a Look’.
“My focus remains entirely on our people, and the work continues immediately through KSDM Trading. As a founder of the #DisciplineOfMovement initiative, I am dedicated to showing that ‘Health is a Lifestyle, not a Look’.”
Ramasia has been officially invited as a guest speaker at the 5km Run and picnic event on June 16th.
I will be addressing health, wellness, and youth empowerment.
“This powerful Youth Day initiative is being held in proud collaboration with WELLNESS ERA, where I will be addressing health, wellness, and youth empowerment. Our organisation is also finalising a targeted health campaign designed to bring vital physical and mental wellness education directly to local residents, combating the lack of health resources in our vulnerable sectors.”
Preparations are also officially underway for a Mandela Day activation in the Vaal area.
“We are currently mobilising corporate sponsors to fund a nutritional soup kitchen aimed at feeding 200 local children in collaboration with YOUTH MUST RISE. We invite our media partners to join hands with us once again as we document and share these stories of hope, health, and transformation.”
