SHARPEVILLE.- Orlando Pirates darling Relebohile Mofokeng’s Foundation Tournament is scheduled to take place in Sharpeville on June 27.
This is the second annual tournament after his foundation first hosted the development and senior teams’ competition in 2025.
The tournament will feature U13, U15, U17, senior, master, and ladies’ football teams. It is a Top 16 tournament across all age groups and will include teams from Sharpeville and other areas in the Vaal Triangle.

Previously, the tournament saw the Relebohile Mofokeng Foundation, in conjunction with FARPost, host successful football coaching clinics for coaches and youngsters. The launch of the foundation was graced by big names, including former Bafana Bafana and Kaizer Chiefs favourite Dr Doctor Khumalo.
The competition is run successfully by Mofokeng’s parents, Sechaba and Naome Mofokeng. The two have done an exceptional job running the tournament from beginning to end, especially with the launch of the foundation.
The tournament will run in Mofokeng’s absence
This year, the tournament will run in Mofokeng’s absence as he will still be on national duty at the Fifa World Cup 2026, which is set to kick off on June 11. Mofokeng, Tshepang Moremi, and Thapelo Maseko are the three players from the Vaal in the Bafana Bafana squad.
