‘Operation Prosper’ yields positive results in Orange Farms

26 suspects were apprehended for various offenses.

ORANGE FARMS. – On Thursday, June 11, ‘Operation Prosper’ was conducted in Orange Farms SAPS policing precincts. Members of the SAPS and the SANDF gathered in Orange Farms to address criminality in the area.

Police said that during this operation a total number of 26 suspects were apprehended for various offenses.

A total of 19 illegal immigrants were arrested, three suspects arrested for being in possession of illicit drugs, three suspects were apprehended for illegal mining and one suspect for harbouring of an illegal immigrant.

Furthermore, 4 traffic fines were issued during this operation amounting to R 4 000.

“This kind of an operation aims to reassure and reaffirm the commitment of the SAPS and the SANDF to addressing criminality and bringing stability in the area.”
