Army Gym Shooting Stars FC expelled from the league
“We all know that if a team fails to attend three games in a row, it must be expelled."

SEDIBENG.- It’s official: Army Gym Shooting Stars FC has been expelled from the SAFA Sedibeng Hollywoodbets Men’s Regional League.
This was after the club failed to honour three consecutive games. The club was served with a dismissal letter from the SAFA Sedibeng Regional Leagues Coordinator, informing them about the Disciplinary Hearing decision.
However, this move was long overdue, with teams complaining that the league took a long time to persecute Stars FC.
The club was allowed to honour some fixtures despite failing to honour their previous matches.
The league tracked their feet, resulting in the club being dismissed with two games remaining.
Though this won’t affect the log standings, especially the two top teams, many club officials believe this could have been done a long time ago. Speaking to Sedibeng Ster Sport, one of the club officials said this is a lesson for SAFA Sedibeng not to delay cases.
He said this could have been worse if it affected the log standing, especially at the top.
“We all know that if a team fails to attend three games in a row, it must be expelled, but the league failed to act on time against Army Gym Shooting Stars FC.”
With Army Shooting Stars FC expelled from the league, it will be very interesting to see what happens to the two teams, Sebokeng United Brothers FC and Early Birds FC, that finished in 16th and 17th position as the relegation axe is hovering over their heads.
