Re-Integrated Service Blitz successfully held at Kwa-Masiza Flats Sebokeng

“The goal is to make services easier, faster, and more person-centered for the people using them."

SEBOKENG.- Different stakeholders successfully held a Re-Integrated Service Blitz Program at the Kwa-Masiza Flats in Sebokeng on Friday.

Sergeant Nthabiseng Mokhachane, from the Sebokeng SAPS, said that the program aimed at educating the community about GBVF, Substance abuse, Youth Development skills, HIV testing and counselling, substance abuse rehabilitation, ID, Birth certificate and Passport application, NPOs/ NGOs and the collaborative efforts in improving service delivery.

Gauteng Department of Social Development MEC Nomantu Nkomo- Ralehoko explained that Integrated Service Delivery is a way of organising the public so that the different departments, organizations, or programs work together instead of working independently.

“The goal is to make services easier, faster, and more person-centered for the people using them. Instead of making one repeat the same story to multiple offices and deal with separate processes for SAPS, Health, Welfare, Education, etc., integrated service delivery coordinates those services around your needs.”

Mokhachane also educated the public about Stakeholder collaboration.

“It is the process of actively working with individuals, groups, or organizations that have an interest in or are affected by a project. It shifts from one-way communication to a two-way partnership where knowledge, resources, and perspectives are shared to achieve common goals. Currently GBVF and Substance abuse is a problem, therefore the only solution to fight this is through collaborative efforts.”

Brigadier Thembekile Kubone extended her sincere gratitude to the Department of Social Development and the community of Ward 17 for their support in making the event a success.
