Mako’s office engages Ward 3 leaders

“Their commitment to dialogue demonstrates a shared determination to find practical, lasting solutions."

SEDIBENG.- The Emfuleni Local Municipality (ELM) leadership met the leadership of Ward 3, Miami Sands, in Vanderbijlpark, this week.

The meeting aimed to address the community’s service delivery concerns through constructive dialogue, as the ELM described.

We appreciated your leadership.

ELM Mayor Hassan Mako extended his appreciation to the Miami Sands leadership for their willingness to engage despite the challenges the community continues to face.

“Their commitment to dialogue demonstrates a shared determination to find practical, lasting solutions that place the interests of residents first. Recognising that effective service delivery requires a coordinated municipal response, the Executive Mayor’s Office convened all relevant service departments, including Metsi-a-Lekoa, the Electricity Department, and the Waste Management Department, as well as the Revenue and Roads and Storm Water Departments, to provide comprehensive feedback on the issues raised and outline clear interventions to resolve them.”

ELM said that Mako sees these engagements as an indication that the municipality is committed to being an accountable, people-centred government, where every concern is heard, every challenge is taken seriously, and every department is expected to play its part to improve the quality of life for residents.
