Greater Sebokeng Supporters Branch Commemorate Mandela Day

"We had to look within their branch as part of the commemoration of Mandela Day."

SEBOKENG. – Orlando Pirates Greater Sebokeng Supporters Branch joined millions of South Africans in commemoration of Mandela Month.

The club supporters rolled up their sleeves for one of their own when they took it upon themselves to improve the conditions of her shack in Zone 12 over the weekend.

This was revealed to Sedibeng Ster Sport by the branch spokesperson, Mzwakhe Zondo. Zondo said they visited Nhlanhla Radebe to spend their 67 minutes paving her two-room shack. He told Sedibeng Ster Sport that they had to look within their branch as part of the commemoration of Mandela Day.

Zondo said in most cases they overlook their own members when it comes to events such as this.
He believed that choosing one of their own was the best thing to do.

“We decided to look within the family to commemorate this day. Ausi Radebe is a loyal club supporter, and we wanted to reward her for her commitment. She is always there for the club, and it was important for us as the Greater Sebokeng Supporters Branch to initiate this. I want to thank everyone who supported this initiative and the contributions they made,” said Zondo.
