BOPHELONG.- Pupils at the Dr Molefi Oliphant Maths, Science and ICT School of Specialisation have successfully brought their classroom lessons to life through a bumper harvest from their thriving school garden project.

The Agricultural Management Practices (AMP) learners recently celebrated the fruits of their labour after putting theory into practice by mastering soil preparation, planting, crop care, sustainable farming and harvesting.

School representatives highlighted that the initiative teaches youngsters that farming extends well beyond food production.

“They are learning that agriculture is not only about producing food, but also about responsibility, sustainability, food security and entrepreneurship. A special thank you to our dedicated AMP teachers for their commitment, guidance and hands-on support throughout this project. Your passion and dedication are helping our learners develop practical skills that extend far beyond the classroom.”

Special gratitude was also extended to the Departmental Head for providing the leadership necessary to ensure the agricultural project continues to flourish.
