SEDIBENG.- What seemed like a perfect start for Perfect Academy now looks to be something of the past.

At one stage, Perfect Academy seemed as if they could easily run away with the SAFA Sedibeng Hollywoodbets Men Regional League title at the end of the season, but it was wrong to think it was going to be an easy ride for them.

They were cruising nicely

For example, at the beginning of the season, they were cruising nicely at the top of the log, beating teams left, right, and centre. However, their recent declining form has raised eyebrows.

They find themselves in third position on the log with 49 points from 19 games. They have two games in hand as other teams at the top played 20 and 21 games.

To make matters worse, they suffered another embarrassing defeat against 016 Magista FC, who are in fourteenth position on the log.

This was their fourth defeat of the season.

They keep donating points

On the other hand, Ben 10 FC, who is at the top of the log with 49 points, seems to be in control of their destination, unlike Perfect Academy, which keeps donating points like Santa Claus.

Ben 10 FC maintained their lead at the top when they played to a 1-all draw against Cheeky Boys Institute FC over the weekend.

This is the same team that at one stage beat Perfect Academy on its home ground. The Cheeky Boys Institute team has proved to be a nightmare for many teams in the league, especially those who challenge the league title.

They are fighting for their lives

To make it worse, they are fighting for their lives at the bottom of the log.

Boipatong FC, tied with Ben 10 FC at 49, are strong contenders for the league title at the end of the season. These two will meet in a top-of-the-table clash at the Boipatong Stadium on Sunday.
