Mosimane, who is one of the powerful figures in South Africa was invited to share his insights with young people. This five days youth empowerment is initiated by Jessica Dube who is a producer, a global voice for artists, speaker and broadcaster. Dube, formerly Mthimkulu, grew up in this church which happens to be her father’s, Pastor Isaac Mthimkulu.

A first of its kind….

This is the first event of its kind to take place in Vaal with the main aim being to empower young people. Speaking on her social media platforms, Dube argued young people not to miss this Vaal EmpowaYouth Week which comes to the end on Friday.

This event has been a great success with high profiles speakers from various professions.

He has won the CAF Champions League twice

Mosimane was one of those notable speakers due to his success in the African football. For example, Mosimane is the only South African coach who has won the CAF Champions League with two different teams, namely Mamelodi Sundowns and Al Ahly.

He is the most decorated coach in the continent.

His attendance at the Vaal EmpowaYouth Week marked the success of this event. In his (Mosimane) powerful conversation guided by expert facilitator, Sechaba Motsieloa under the Theme ‘Football Is Not Just Football’, Mosimane said the mistake most people make is to separate education from sports. He further said that you cannot separate education from sports.

He told the young people who packed the venue to capacity that there are many opportunities in sports, especially football.

This Vaal EmpowaYouth Week comes to the conclusion on Friday.
