SEBOKENG.- Nandipha Msimanga has been selected to represent the Sedibeng Netball Team in the upcoming 2026 Spar Netball Championships scheduled to take place at Hoërskool Stellenberg in Cape Town from August 5-11.

The Sedibeng Netball Team consists of 12 players and five officials who will be doing duty for the region.

However, for Msimanga and other players to travel to Cape Town, they must dig deep into their pockets to raise R6030.

The selected players and officials need to raise funds for uniforms, meals and accommodation to honour this prestigious tournament.

“Our Sedibeng netball has no regional sponsors.

This was confirmed by the Sedibeng Netball Federation chairperson, Fakazile Nketsing, who pleaded with local businesses, companies and the community to come on board and offer assistance to these selected players.

“Our Sedibeng netball has no regional sponsors; hence all selected players and officials are required to raise funds. We make a special plea to our community to assist as much as they can for our players so that they can attend these prestigious championships,” said Nketsing.
