SHARPEVILLE.- Sharpeville Sweepers FC goalkeeper Letlotlo Kodisa (12) was one of the youngsters who stood out at the Relebohile Mofokeng Foundation Tournament.

This young goalkeeper helped his team be crowned Relebohile Mofokeng Foundation U13 Tournament champions.

He was outstanding for his team and stood between winning and defeat.

He made some exciting saves throughout the tournament, which saw his team reach the final.

His reflexes and ability to read the situation were something to marvel at, much to the delight of the local soccer fans who came to watch this 2nd annual tournament. The tournament was organised by Bafana Bafana forward Relebohile Mofokeng to give the youngsters a platform to showcase their talent.

His parents ensured the success of the tournament as he was doing duty for the country at the Fifa World Cup 2026.

Speaking to Sedibeng Ster Sport, Kodisa’s coach Mogoera Ranake said the young goalkeeper has a bright future ahead of him. He told Sedibeng Ster Sport that the Partridge Primary School learner has the potential to become one of the best goalkeepers from Sharpeville.

Sharpeville is well known for producing household names in South African football.

“I do not doubt that Letlotlo has the potential to make us proud because he is one of the most talented goalkeepers here in Sharpeville. He is a step ahead of his peers, and his decision-making is something that separates him from the rest. He is the reason we won this tournament. We will be monitoring his progress and will make sure he gets the best training as a goalkeeper,” said Ranake.
