SEDIBENG.- Orlando Pirates will pin their hopes on Tshepang Moremi when they welcome Durban City in the MTN8 Quarter-final at the Orlando Amstel Arena on Saturday (August 7).

Kick-off is at 15:00.

With Relebohile Mofokeng having joined the Belgian club, Royale Union Saint-Gilloise, Pirates is looking at Moremi and his company to defend their MTN8 title.

Moremi stood out for Pirates when the club was crowned the Wafa Wafa champions last season. This is the performance that earned him the title of MTN8 Last Man Standing at the PSL Awards.

He started the season like a house on fire when Orlando Pirates started their Betway Premiership campaign with a 2-0 win against newcomers Milford.

This Sharpeville-born soccer star scored his first goal of the season. It seems as if he began where he left off last season.

Moremi has already made his intention clear this season, and he is a player to watch when Pirates takes on City.  Pirates will come into this encounter with one thing in their mind: to defend the trophy.

They had a great run last season, winning everything that came their way, including being crowned the undisputed PSL champions.

They made history by ending Mamelodi Sundowns’ domination of the domestic league.

At the beginning of the season, everyone bet their money on Sundowns, but Pirates made many eat humble pie – thanks to Moremi and his company. They achieved the feat that looked like mission impossible.
