SAFA Sedibeng President re-elected alongside Danny Jordaan
“I want to congratulate Dr Jordaan for being re-elected once again, and this showed how the regions still value his leadership."
SEDIBENG.- The good news for the Vaal is that SAFA Sedibeng President Solly Mkhabela retained his position as National Executive Committee (NEC) member alongside Danny Jordaan.
Mkhabela will serve on the SAFA NEC for the next four years following the elective congress, which also saw the long-standing SAFA President, Jordaan, re-elected to lead this troubled organisation.
SAFA Sedibeng was one of the regions that drew the line behind Jordaan, who was contesting the presidency against AmaZulu boss Sandile Zungu, who eventually lost with 257 to 82 votes.
Mkhabela made it clear to Sedibeng Ster Sport long before the election that SAFA Sedibeng Region was behind Jordaan. He even went further, saying they bet on the winning horse, referring to Jordaan. It was a celebration galore as Jordaan was announced as SAFA President again!

Jordaan has been running SAFA for the past 13years.
Speaking to Sedibeng Ster Sport, Mkhabela said the regions have spoken on the leadership they want. Mkhabela said this is good news for South African football, considering Jordaan’s experience. He said Jordaan’s experience can’t be challenged.
“I want to congratulate Dr Jordaan for being re-elected once again, and this showed how the regions still value his leadership. As SAFA Sedibeng, we made it clear that we were going with Dr Jordaan, and there was no dissappointment on Saturday,” said Mkhabela.
