SEDIBENG.- Football fans are in for a thrilling weekend as Jomo Cosmos prepare to face JBM in the ABC Motsepe League Nedbank Cup preliminary round.
The much-anticipated match takes place on Saturday at the Eersterus Stadium, with kickoff scheduled for 15:30.
As one of six remaining teams fighting for a place further in the tournament, Cosmos are eager to recapture their glory and reach the prestigious Last 32. Having played in the same division last season, both sides know each other well, promising a fiercely contested match.

Club boss Jomo Sono has spent the off-season scouting nationwide to strengthen his squad for the 2026/2027 campaign.
Sono has a legendary eye for raw ability, having previously discovered stars such as former Bafana Bafana captain Aaron Mokoena from the dusty streets of Boipatong.
For the past three seasons, Cosmos have played their home fixtures at the Isak Steyl Stadium in Vanderbijlpark, making the Vaal a happy hunting ground for the club.
Saturday’s action at the Eersterus Stadium forms an exciting triple-header of preliminary round fixtures.
The day kicks off at 10:30 with a clash between Vaal-based Young Pirates FC and Free Agents FC.
This is followed at 13:00 by a match between Mabopane JM FC and Tembisa Destroyers FC, before Jomo Cosmos take centre stage against JBM to round off the day.
