EVATON.- A 34 year-old woman made her first appearance at the Sebokeng Magistrate’s Court on Friday due to fraudulent related case.

The suspect’s picture went viral on social media and her name was spread across local radio station as Evaton Police Detectives were looking for her.

Upon hearing her name on radio the suspect handed herself to one of the local radio stations claiming that she was alerted by neighbors that police are looking for her.

It is alleged that the suspect committed fraud at Evaton Capitec Bank where she fraudulently stole an amount of R 10 260.
Captain Aubrey Moopeloa, police spokesperson said that a case of fraud was opened and her full names were captured with her picture.

“We as police are investigating how she committed fraud and who she works with. It is clear that there are people she works within the bank as it now we are investigating a case of fraud. The suspect is arrested after she handed herself,” said Moopeloa.
