Mother and three kids found dead in Sebokeng home
The police in Sebokeng are investigating four inquests after a mother and her three children were found dead in their home.
SEBOKENG – The police have launched four inquests following the death of a mother and her three children in their Sonderwater home on April 9.
The victims include a 39-year-old woman and her children, aged 12, nine, and seven. Police spokesperson Sergeant Nthabiseng Mokhachane told Sedibeng Ster that officers were called to the scene, where they first found the mother’s body.
“Upon further inspection, police discovered the three children lying motionless in another room. Furthermore, police found a bucket containing what looked like vomit in the room,” Mokhachane said.
The father told police the family had eaten an early supper before going to bed. He mentioned that the mother had complained of feeling unwell.
A fourth child, aged four, also told her father she felt sick. She was transported to the hospital for medical attention.
Emergency medical services personnel declared the mother and three children dead at the scene. Their bodies have been taken to Forensic Pathology Services for further investigation.
The incident has shocked the Vaal community. Police are now calling on the public to help with any information that might assist their investigation.
