Squizas share the love on decks

From family ties to fire beats, sisters-in-law Lebo Seoke and Natasha Bambo are turning heads as Genesis DJs.

VANDERBIJLPARK – From being Squizas to sharing their love on the decks.

The Genesis DJs are a dynamic duo built on sound, style, and strong brand presence.

Known for curating immersive, high–energy musical experiences for audiences of all ages, they seamlessly move between music, fashion, and lifestyle.

Formed by Lebo Seoke (30) and Natasha Bambo (28), the duo is rooted in amapiano yet boldly adaptable.

Genesis DJs represent a raw, redefined sound shaped to thrive in any environment, from intimate spaces to large-scale stages.

Speaking to Ster, the duo shared their story of how they came about.

“We are sisters–in–law, fondly referring to ourselves as ‘Sisters–in–Love.’ Our bond was formed when Lebo’s brother married my sister, creating not only a family connection but a deep creative partnership that now fuels their shared vision and artistry,” said Bambo.

Explaining how they started playing, Seoke said, “Our journey began in 2023. Over the past three years, we delivered impactful sets while continuously evolving their sound, confidence, and identity within the industry.”

“I would say we were born from a deeply personal place. Following the passing of Natasha’s sister, the late Dr Eva Seoke, music became both an outlet and a form of healing. Although the idea of becoming DJs had long lived in their hearts, it was during this season that they decided to pursue the craft fully,” said Seoke.

The duo said the name Genesis was inspired by their Christian upbringing – symbolising “the beginning.”

“It marks the start of their healing journey, the birth of a shared dream, and their commitment to expressing love, faith, and resilience through music and fashion. This beginning was not only personal, but an invitation for audiences to witness growth, energy, and carefully curated moments on every stage they touch,” said Bambo as they exchanged opportunities to answer questions.

Draw inspiration from industry leaders such as DBN Gogo, DJ Zinhle, Njelic, and DJ Shimza, the sisters said they share follow those who exemplify how music can be a form of authentic self–expression while still commanding and captivating the dancefloor.

Sharing their intended further, Bambo said they aspire to establish their brand on a global scale, collaborating with seasoned artists while creating platforms that allow emerging talent to connect with their role models.

“Giving back remains central to our vision, as we are deeply passionate about investing in community–building initiatives within their hometown,” she said.

Seoke closed the conversation with quotes that, “As self–described fashion enthusiasts, the we also envision collaborating with clothing brands and eventually launching their own fashion line, an extension of their creative expression where music and style meet.”
