SEDIBENG.- South African football is shining brightly in Europe as two proud talents from the Vaal, Thapelo Maseko and Relebohile Mofokeng, make massive waves abroad.

Mofokeng recently celebrated his dream debut in the UEFA Europa League after transferring from Orlando Pirates to his Belgian club following the FIFA World Cup in June.

Meanwhile, fellow countryman Maseko has also established himself as a standout South African export in Europe after securing a move to Danish side FC Copenhagen.

Maseko recently proved his worth by starting and playing 75 minutes in a dominant 3-0 victory over Skovshoved, helping his club secure a place in the next round of the Danish Cup on September 15.

Maseko’s impressive performances at the FIFA World Cup made him one of the most sought-after players in the transfer market.

After returning from a season-long loan at AEL Limassol, Maseko was told by Mamelodi Sundowns that he was free to find a new club despite still having a contract remaining.

This sparked intense interest from both local and European suitors before he finally landed in Denmark.

The two exceptional youngsters, hailing from Sebokeng and Sharpeville respectively, are truly living out their footballing dreams abroad.

They are now set for a joyful reunion as they report for national duty in the Bafana Bafana camp, preparing for an upcoming Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Guinea at the Orlando Amstel Arena on September 23.

The only notable absentee from the Vaal contingent is Tshepang Moremi, who has been dropped from the national squad by newly appointed coach Pitso Mosimane.
