EVATON.- Former Bafana Bafana star Siphiwe Tshabalala, who scored the first goal in the 2010 World Cup, has sent a warm message of support to Relebohile Mofokeng and the national squad ahead of their Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Guinea.

The upcoming fixture is scheduled to take place at the Orlando Amstel Arena tomorrow.

Tshabalala shared his thoughts with Sedibeng Ster Sport during the Kurra Cup at Conti Ground in Evaton, Vaal, on Heritage Day, saying he is fully convinced the team will secure all three points on Saturday.

Tshabalala had high praise for Mofokeng

While initially reluctant to single out individual players, Tshabalala had high praise for Mofokeng, who has recently made headlines following his move to Belgian side Royale Union Saint-Gilloise after the FIFA World Cup 2026 and has been in top form, scoring and assisting for his club.

Tshabalala highlighted Mofokeng as a key player to watch, expressing deep admiration for his down-to-earth attitude, humbleness, and good upbringing despite his growing fame.

I think all the selected players will carry the team.

“I wish Bafana Bafana the best of luck, and I have confidence that this will be a great under coach Pitso Mosimane. I think all the selected players will carry the team come Saturday,” he said.
