Rotary provides care at free health day
All services were provided for free at the Margate Clinic.
The Rotary Club of Hibiscus Coast held a free health day for the community at Margate Clinic last Thursday.

Various health checks were offered from HIV testing to assessments for children.
Nompilo Mabaso who is responsible for health promotion at the Department of Health in the Ugu district said it always promotes ‘prevention is better than cure’.
“These services are brought here to protect patients even before they get infected with any disease. We plead with patients to use such opportunities to get help.”

Clinic manager, Sister Phili Mthembu said they are happy with the support and the relationship that they have with Rotary Club of Hibiscus Coast.
RNM deputy mayor Sibusiso Shange said these services are delivered in a manner that ensures that people who live in informal settlements, farms and township communities get all the help.

“I am informed that to date this programme has reached close to 250 000 people from communities in all provinces in South Africa.”
He emphasised that this year they would like to focus on awareness on measles prevention due to the outbreak that is currently affecting the country.
