The Port Shepstone Andhra Sabha Ladies Group hosted a spectacular ‘Chai and Chat’ fundraising high tea last Saturday afternoon.

This event transformed the Andhra Hall into a vibrant celebration of community, friendship and women’s empowerment in commemoration of Women’s Month.

With some 300 guests, predominantly women spanning generations from young to senior citizens, the event was a success.

The young and dynamic programme director, Vikara Naidoo, was outstanding in her role.

Her vibrant personality, professionalism and infectious energy kept the audience entertained and actively engaged throughout the afternoon.

Guests participated in the activities while enjoying sumptuous eats, delectable tea-time delicacies and beautifully presented tables.

Adding further sparkle to the occasion was popular local musician and performer Christopher Pillay, who delighted guests with a wonderful live performance of classical numbers, creating a warm and nostalgic atmosphere.

The impressive stage programme featured something for everyone, including a cooking demonstration by Anusuya Perumal, an energetic boxing demonstration by mother-daughter combo Kimaya and Monica Govender, an invigorating Zumba display by Sandy Kathrayan, and a glamorous make-up demonstration by Sthabile Ndovela.

The afternoon was a true celebration of women, talent, community spirit and togetherness. More importantly, it demonstrated the tremendous support for the Port Shepstone Andhra Sabha’s fundraising initiatives.
