Great golfing for Eagles in Scottburgh

The next Eagles game will be held on November 3.

Scottburgh Golf Club was the venue for this month’s Village Eagles golf game.

The course was in good condition, with the greens playing a little slow but true. The weather was a little windy but perfect for an enjoyable day of golf.

Well done to Des Curtin for his estimate of 55 lost balls. Best Lady was Bryony Rogers on 40 individual points and Henry Hampson on a count-out with Ronnie Brett on 41 points. Both best players won on a count out.

The winners on the day were Robert Symons, Johan Lombard, Ronny Brett and Conrad Klusner on an alliance score of 90 points. The longest day and collecting the Stones Trophy were Michelle van der Merwe, Harry Podmore, Noel Jessup and Nigel Henson on 77 points.

The results were calculated by Stan Sim and Pat White. Eddie Mathews presented the results, and this went without a hitch. On the fines side, Derek Hodge was the master and it was well supported.

The next game will be held at Umkomaas Golf Course on November 3. See you all there.
