Mixed fortunes for Sheppie High

There were some highs - and some lows.

PORT Shepstone High had a soccer-filled week with many fixtures. Girls started by playing Creston and the 1st team won 6-1 while the U15A lost 1-3. The boys played Creston as well and won both matches, the 1st team winning 6-1 and the U15A 3-0. A girls’ soccer tournament was held at Kingsway, the 1st team drew against Crawford La Lucia, Grosvenor and Kloof, defeating Hillcrest 1-0. Thembelihle Mnani received the best player award.

The U14 girls’ soccer team did well at the Kloof tournament and beat Northlands 2-0, and Amanzimtoti 1-0. The 1st team won against Pinetown 2-1. Both U16A and U16B teams unfortunately lost, while the U15A and B teams both drew. Boys soccer vs George Campbell held on August 25, U14A drew 0-0, U14B lost 1-5 and U14C lost 1-3.

Sheppie High sevens rugby team took part in a tournament at Glenwood and lost all its fixtures against Kingsway, Maritzburg College, George Campbell and Montana.
