Thumbs up for Flight Centre
A recent business and surfing trip started out as a nightmare.

DEAR Editor,-
A recent business and surfing trip to Fiji started as an absolute nightmare when my SAA flight from Johannesburg to Hong Kong was returned eight hours later to Oliver Tambo International due to a ‘technical fault’. Ambulances and fire engines lined the runway on our return landing.
The next flight caused me to miss my connecting flight to Fiji and resulted in having to rebook my flight on Fiji Air, but as there was only one seat left in business class, combined with one night’s hotel stay, it set me back in excess of R27 000.
My travel agent, Tiffany Beck of Flight Centre Shelly Centre, worked tirelessly for hours to ensure I boarded this flight as the next one would only be four days later. I wish to publicly congratulate Tiffany for her endless efforts in ensuring I was inconvenienced as little as possible.
Knowing I had her professional backing, I was able to continue my business, as well as surf the world’s best waves in Fiji without any further stress.
Tiffany, your superiors at Flight Centre must be proud to have a totally dedicated employee like you. You are to be both highly commended and recommended. Well done and keep up the good work.
