Heritage Festival was fantastic

Festival goers had a great time on the banks of the mighty Mzimkhulu.

SPILLER’S Wharf was another venue where Heritage Day was celebrated. The jam-packed, four day Heritage Festival saw visitors to the popular venue enjoy traditional dancing, music from the Scottish pipe band and a re-enactment of the arrival of the original Norwegian Settlers.

There was also loads of entertainment for the children, a potjiekos competition, markets to browse and various boat activities on the river. Owner of Spiller’s Wharf, Guy Spiller said each year they will use the festival as inspiration to add to their collection of heritage media on display at the wharf.
