Top surfers to battle it out at Tweni2’s
Top surfers, live bands and beachside fun will take over The Spot Backpackers on June 13 for the annual Tweni2’s event.
Surfing, live music and family fun will take centre stage when the annual Tweni2’s event returns to The Spot Backpackers on Saturday, June 13.
The popular Umtentweni event has grown into one of the coast’s most anticipated surfing and music gatherings, attracting some of the country’s top surfers, including international teams from Holland this year.
Among the favourites are defending champions Chad du Toit and his mystery partner, while former partner and surfing star Travis Logie teams up with Warwick Wright.
Local surfers Clay Turrell and Jordy Boschoff, as well as Springbok surfers Gary van Wieringen and Justin Maisch of Team Shockwave, are also expected to draw strong support.
The event, founded by local surfers Peter Horlock and his son Derek, is known for its exciting pairs format, festive atmosphere, and partnership with Quiksilver South Africa.
Besides the surfing action, visitors can enjoy performances by five bands and five DJs, while families can look forward to junior beach soccer, sandcastle building, and a treasure hunt for children.
Limited edition Quiksilver/Tweni2’s T-shirts will also be on sale.
For ticket information contact Peter Horlock on 083 2850739.
